FOREWORD BY

Assalamualaikum wbt and Good Day Everyone,
It is my pleasure to welcome you once again to Universiti Malaysia Terengganu
Student Research Day 2021 (SRD 2021). This year, SRD 2021 is conducted on a digital
platform due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the theme is "Managing Research
Through the Global Pandemic". SRD 2021 bringing together about 1400 Final Year
Projects in five different clusters: Maritime Studies; Science, Marine and
Environment; Fisheries, Food Science and Food Technology; Business,
Economics and Social Development; and Ocean Engineering,
Economics and Social Development; and Ocean Engineering,
Technology and Informatics
SRD 2021 is open to all Final Year Students, where they conduct a
substantial individual project in their final year. Each project is
supervised by a member of faculty and assessed via written reports
and presentations. Undertaking a project in this pandemic time is
very challenging because the students need to put in a tremendous
amount of effort, self-discipline, and time to complete their project
online. Hence, SRD 2021 is an excellent indicator of a student's overall
online. Hence, SRD 2021 is an excellent indicator of a student's overall
ability to carry out a serious piece of work despite the challenges they
encountered.
Special thanks go to the Faculty of Science and Marine Environment
for hosting this year SRD 2021. And congratulations to the
students whose work were selected as the winner
among the best. They can be justifiably proud of
having their work chosen for publication, and I am
happy to acknowledge their achievement.
I hope that this SRD program will
further stimulate research among
the students and serve as a
platform for students to showcase
their research ability.
See you again next year!
